2010

2010 might be one of Bern's most beautiful and special displays of his entire time doing what he did. Coming back from 2009 where his family had to decorate for him due to health issues and announcing that 2010 would be the last year, he knocked this out of the park. He brought back one of the fan favorites; the Holly Babes illustrations. And it was some of his best artwork in years.  The backyard matched the beauty of the front continuing the same theme. Countless carolers, choir boys, angels. And even, for one last time, Bern's infamous diving Santa in the backyard (the final year would include a new version in the front).

Preparing for the idea that this was to be the last year, it was impossible to not get every last feeling that Bern was able to create out of this display. It was all there. And it was beautiful. But the biggest surprise was to be found as you entered the backyard. While this would be Bern's final year opening his home and decorating the backyard, he announced that he would continue with another front yard only display in 2011.
